Everybody always says, "You need to 'make' the time."
But I find it much more fascinating to 'take' the time; it seems like less work, given both are verbs (both require your action).
Make (māk) verb:
To bring into existence by shaping or changing material, combining parts, etc.
Take (tāk) verb:
To receive and accept willingly (something given or offered)
